Jerrica Kidd became the latest member of the Patriot Women's Soccer team's 2014 recruiting class on Tuesday.
Kidd, a Goalkeeper from Lincoln County High School signed her NAIA scholarship contract in the Lincoln County High Library in front of teammates, coaches, and family. Jerrica was a four year starter in goal for Lincoln County. She set school records with 43 shutouts and 506 saves for her career. She was also named to the 45th District All-Tournament Team and the 12th Region All-Tournament Team in 2012 as well as earning team Most Valuable Player recognition in 2013.
Jerrica is a standout in the classroom as well, having earned recognition as a member of the Honor Roll at Lincoln County. She plans to study Biology at St. Catharine with the goal of attending graduate school to become a Physical Therapist.
Patriot Coach Paul Patton noted of Kidd, "Jerrica is a solid Goalkeeper and is strong in the classroom as well. She is tenacious and is a hard worker. I am happy to have her as part of the team. She has a big upside and I look forward to coaching her and seeing her grow as a goalkeeper over the next several years."
