Katie Lancaster, a 2013 graduate of Spencer County High School currently enrolled at Jefferson Community College is the lastest recruit to join the Patriot Women's Soccer team for Fall 2014.
Katie officially signed on during a visit to the St. Catharine campus on Monday. She was a member of the 2012 District Championship team at Spencer County High School coached by TC Corjeoles and Troy Stevens. She was also a member of the SCSA competitive team in the spring. Katie has played Defender, Midfield, and Forward during her soccer career.
"Katie is a versatile soccer player, with the ability to play multiple positions," commented Patriot Coach Paul Patton. "That versatility will be an asset to her and the team. Despite being a transfer, she'll have 4 seasons of eligibility left and we are excited that she has chosen to join us."
Katie was a member of National Honor Society and Beta Club in high school as well as being a member of the Dean's List at JCC. That strong academic background will serve her well as she has chosen a challenging field of study. She plans to earn a degree in Advanced Medical Imaging while at St. Catharine.
