The Lady Patriots never could get things going in their final home contest of the year against the Tigers of Campbellsville.
Going into Thursday night’s contest, the Lady Patriots were well aware of fact that they would be unable to make the conference tournament field regardless of the outcome in their contest with Campbellsville. However, this didn’t change the mindset of a determined group that had taken teams to the wire all season; “we are going to play hard and have fun” said Head Coach Lena Bramblett.
Unfortunately for the Patriots, the Lady Tigers pounce on them early taking a 47-28 halftime advantage. Sasha Ruiz-Lopez (Fort Meyers, Fla.) nailed down a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, but the Lady Patriots were unable to overcome 24% shooting as they fell to the Tigers 101-51 in their worst loss of the season.
The Patriots will hit the floor once more Thursday when they travel to face the Bluefield Rams.
