Jessie Stone will be a sophomore transfer to SCC in the fall of 2014. She played her high school career at Caldwell County High School in West Kentucky. During her four years of high school she helped lead her team to district championships all 4 years, Region 2 championships 3 of the 4 years, Class A Region championships all 4 years and a Class A State Championship in 2010.

Along the way Jessie’s individual success in high school included a career high 1048 Kills, Region 2 Player of the Year for 2011 and 2012, all district team 2011 and 2012, Region 2 tournament team 2011 and 2012, first team All State 2011 and 2012 and the All “A” State Tournament team 2011 and 2012. Jessie was a 3 sport athlete in high school but volleyball was her passion. She made the commitment to improve her volleyball game by driving 90 miles to play club ball in Owensboro, KY. She played for Audubon Volleyball Association (AVA) for 3 years. During that time her team participated in the AAU National Tournament in Orlando FL where they placed third in their division and Jessie was named to the All Tournament Team.

Jessie started her college career at Mid Continent University, a small Baptist college in Mayfield, KY. During her freshman year Jessie enjoyed being a part of the most successful season the young “cougars” had ever enjoyed. They finished the season with a 19-13 record, the first ever winning season, and participated in the post season conference tournament for the first time in school history. Individual stats for Jessie as a college freshman included starting in all 32 matches where she was 3rd in total kills with 236, second in hitting percentage at .250 and second in digs with a total of 266 and Jessie led the team in total blocks with 63.

Transfering to St Catharine College will reunite Jessie with her older sister, Casey Stone who will be a senior volleyball player with the Patriots in the fall of 2014.
