     The Patriot volleyball team (27-9, 9-3 MSC) traveled to New Albany, Ind. last night and played spoiler on the senior night at Indiana University Southeast (12-17, 6-3) as they swept the Grenadiers three sets to none.

     The first set saw the Patriots lead the Grenadiers 12-11. The Patriots then went on a 7-3 run highlighted by two kills by Casey Stone (Princeton, Ky.). The two would battle to the end, but the Patriots reigned supreme as they won the set 25-20.

     In the second set the Patriots built a 13-11 lead, but the Grenadiers came back with a 5-0 run to take the lead 16-13. The Patriots, however, stormed back led by Allie Southard (Louisville, Ky.) who recorded three kills in the Patriots 9-2 run to take the lead 22-18. The Grenadiers would battle back to pull within two, but the Patriots won the set 25-22.

     The Patriots trailed the Grenadiers 11-1 0 in the third set, but the Patriots battled back with a 5-0 run to take the lead 15-11. The Grenadiers would match the Patriots down the stretch, but the Patriots proved to be too much as they won the set 25-20 and the match 3-0.

     The Patriots were led by seniors Allie Southard and Shauna Stone (Bardstown, Ky.) who each tallied nine kills and hit .318 and .333 respectively. Senior Casey Stone, also turned in a good night with eight kills and a .389 hitting percentage. Lauren Bowling was the glue for the Patriot defense as she recorded 23 digs.

     The Patriots swept the season series as they won all three matches against the Grenadiers. The Patriots will return to action on Tuesday, November 4th when they travel to Lebanon, Tenn. to take on MSC foe Cumberland University.
