Jake McCoy (Mesa, AZ) came in and got the first out, then a walk, seeing eye single and HBP set the plate for the Rams walkoff hit.  Starter Steven Borkowski (San Diego, CA) went 5 innings and allowed 4 runs (3 earned) on 7 hits.  Tyler Jones (Huntington Beach, CA) allowed 2 runs on 2 hits a 3 free bases.

Guevara led the Pats with a 2-2 day with a double, 2 runs and a RBI.  Santiago Arce (Chula Vista, CA) went 2-3 with a run and RBI.  Nick Rosso (Santa Barbara, CA) doubled and Carlos Cespedes (Santo Domingo, DR) added a 2 RBI single.

SC 3 - Mobile 1
A strong pitching performance by Daniel Lerma (Oxnard, CA) led the way for the Patriots first win on the year.  He tossed 6 innings, allowing a run on 4 hits.  Austin Willis-Greene (Manhattan, NY) threw 1/3 of an inning before Jake McCoy came on with 2 runner on in the bottom of the 7th.  McCoy struck out 2 batters to end the threat.

In the top of the 8th, Nick Rosso singled and the Rams kicked a Harold Diaz SAC bunt.  U of M intentionally walked Tyler Devine and Santiago Arce knocked in Rosso with a SAC fly.  With runner on the corners and 2 outs, the Patriots ran a 1st and 3rd steal to score their 3rd run.  McCoy slammed the door in the bottom of the 8th for the win.
