For the second straight weekend, the Patriots have cancelled their home opening weekend series, this time with Calumet College of St. Joseph's. Bitterly cold temperatures and over a foot of snow led to the decision.
"In my 14 years here, we've never experienced anything like this," noted Patriot skipper Luther Bramblett. "We were outside more in pre-season practices than the previous few years and now we get this. It's tough, but we'll figure it out, continue to workout and we'll find games south if we can."
The Patriots went south last weekend to get in a couple of games and will look to do the same until the field is ready to go. "The crazy thing is that the weather is bad south as well. Everyone is dealing with this and looking for games."
The next opportunity for SC to hit the field at home is next weekend when they host Cornerstone University.
