2015 Daktronics-NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athletes – PDF
St. Catharine, Ky. –The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that 354 baseball student-athletes were named 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
In order to obtain the award, the student-athlete must be nominated by the institution’s head coach or sports information director. The student-athlete must also maintain a minimum grade point average of a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic stats.
Two members of the St. Catharine College Baseball team were named to the list. Lamont Calloway and Alex Knowles were the two recipients for the Patriots.
Calloway, a senior from Louisville, Ky., is making his first appearance on the list in his career. Alex Knowles, a native of Huntington Beach, Calif., receives his first Scholar-Athlete award of his career.
“I’m really happy for Lamont and Alex for their hard work. Not only did they work hard on the field, but they pushed themselves to be better students in the classroom,” stated Patriot head coach, Luther Bramblett.
