On the road, against an opponent that was on the Varsity schedule last season, the Patriot Women’s Soccer Reserves took the field for the first time this season. The first half was mostly a stalemate. For the first 40 minutes of the game, both teams played solid defense as neither team allowed a goal. At the 41:45 mark Samantha Travillian scored a goal off a cross from Bryce Ashby and St. Catharine took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
In the second half, Rachael Harbison netted a second goal for St. Catharine that was assisted by Brooke Campbell. However, the host Lady Lions refused to quit and netted their first goal of the season off of the toe of junior, Jessica Spina. However, the goal wasn't enough to swing the momentum. The Patriots put in the insurance goal as Mary Ezaizat finished off a pass from Rachael Harbison to make the final score 3-1 in favor of the Patriots.
