Georgetown, Ky. – After shooting a 76 in the opening round of the Bluegrass Mid-South Classic, Michael Hardin finished with a 74 in the second round at Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Georgetown, Ky.
Hardin finished in a tie for third place after shooting a 150 over the two days. Hardin was named to the All-Tournament team for his performance over the two rounds. Burgess Clark of Pikeville (Ky.) won the tournament with a two day total of 148 (75-73).
Logan Medley (Lebanon, Ky.) soared up the scoreboard in the second round after shooting a 73. His 73 was tied with two others for the low round of the day. Medley finished the tournament in a tie for eighth place with a two round total of 154.
Will Broady (Greenville, Ky.) also showed improvement in the final 18 holes. Broady finished with a 79 in the first round, but came out in the second round and fired a 75 for a two day total of 154.
Cole Ballard (Bardstown, Ky.) and Michael Vuick (Taylorsville, Ky.) both finished the tournament in a tie for 13th. Ballard finished with a 77 in the final round, whereas Vuick finished with a 79.
As a team the Patriots finished with a two round total of 615. They recovered after shooting a 311 in the first round to finish with a 304 in the second round. Pikeville won the tournament with a 601 over the two days.
The Patriots will now have a week off until they begin the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament on September 21st and 22nd at Elks Country Club in Portsmouth, Ohio.
