Columbia, Ky. – The Patriot women’s swimming team got their 2015-16 season underway this past weekend at the Lindsey Wilson College Fall Frenzy in Columbia, Ky.
Jordan Loy (Russell Springs, Ky.) competed in five different events, including the relays. Loy first competed in the 500 yard freestyle where she finished with a time of 6:28.22 – good enough for a 10th place finish in the event. Then in the 200 yard freestyle, Loy finished in 13th place with a time of 2:28.29. Her final individual event was the 1650 yard freestyle where she finished with a time of 22:33.07.
Martha Raley (Lebanon, Ky.) was also in action at the LWC Fall Frenzy. Her first event was the 50 yard freestyle where she finished with a time of 29.75. She was just a little over a second away from finishing in the top 10. Raley joined her teammate – Loy – in the 200 yard freestyle finishing with a time of 2:32.43. Raley’s final event was the 100 yard freestyle where she placed 13th with a time of 1:06.23.
The final Patriot swimmer to compete in the individual events was Annissa Chesser (Springfield, Ky.). Chesser first competed in the 50 yard freestyle where she finished with a time of 41.09. Her last event of the day was the 100 yard freestyle where she finished with a time of 1:34.66.
As a team the Patriots were in action in a pair of relay events. Their first relay was the 200 yard freestyle where the Pool Pats finished with a time of 2:11.11. They tallied a time of 5:00.02 in their final relay of the day – the 400 yard freestyle.
The Patriots will return to the pool this Saturday, October 3rd, when they travel to Campbellsville University.
