Columbia, Ky. -- Patriot volleyball seniors, Jordan Strickland and Rebecca Just both took home Mid-South Conference Player of the Week honors, the conference office announced on Monday.
For the third time this season and the third time in her career, Rebecca Just was tabbed as the Mid-South Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week. Just previously won the award on August 31st and October 5th.
The Louisville, Ky. native tallied 38 kills and had a hitting percentage of .407 as she helped the Patriots to sweeps over Pikeville (Ky.), Cumberland (Tenn.) and Shawnee State (Ohio).
Just finished the week with an average of 4.22 kills per set and also recorded four service aces throughout the week. She ranks fourth in the Mid-South with a hitting percentage of .310 and 3.5 kills per set. Her 379 kills ranks second in the MSC and 14th in the NAIA.
Jordan Strickland, a senior setter was named the Mid-South Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week. Strickland earns her second weekly honor of the season and the fourth of her career. She also won the award on August 31st.
Strickland, a Lexington, Ky. native, finished the week with 97 assists in the Patriots’ three matches on the week. She posted her lone double-double on the week against Shawnee State with 30 assists and 11 digs. Her highest assist total on week came against Cumberland where she finished with 39.
Strickland also posted four service aces and 11 kills in three matches last week. She ranks third in the Mid-South in both assists per set (9.3) and total assists (935). She ranks 26th in the NAIA in total assists.
After posting a 3-0 week, St. Catharine moves to 22-8 overall and 9-5 in conference play. They will return to action tomorrow night when they host Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) at 7 p.m. ET.
