Columbia, Ky. -- With the regular season coming to a close, the Mid-South Conference released the bracket for the upcoming women’s soccer tournament.
The Mid-South Conference Women’s Soccer Tournament begins on Thursday, November 5th at Lovers Lane Soccer Complex in Bowling Green, Ky.
The Patriot women’s soccer team will enter the tournament as the sixth seed where they will take on the third seed Georgetown (Ky.) in the quarterfinals of the tournament on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
In their earlier meeting this season, the Tigers defeated the Patriots 2-1 on October 3rd. Georgetown scored a golden goal in the second overtime to come away with the win.
The other quarterfinal matchup in the bottom half of the bracket features second-seeded Campbellsville (Ky.) taking on the seventh seed Shawnee State (Ohio) at 8:30 p.m. ET.
The other side of the bracket is headlined by the No. 1 team in the country and top-seeded Lindsey Wilson (Ky.). The Blue Raiders completed a perfect run through the regular season to capture the program’s 15th MSC regular-season title.
Lindsey Wilson will take on the No. 8 seed Pikeville (Ky.) at 6 p.m. ET on Thursday. The final quarterfinal matchup features fourth-seeded Cumberland (Tenn.) taking on Cumberlands (Ky.) at 6 p.m. ET.
The winners of each quarterfinal match will meet in the tournament semifinals that are played on Friday, November 6th with each game beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET. The championship match is slated for 3:30 p.m. ET on Friday, November 13th at Lovers Lane.
