Columbia, Ky. – The St. Catharine men’s soccer team has not only achieved success on the field, but also in the classroom. Their hard work paid off when 10 student-athletes were garnered with Academic All Mid-South Conference honors.
In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least sophomore academic status.
The ten student-athletes who earned the award were: Andrew Brown (Dayton, Ohio), Max Bristow (Exeter, England), Marvin Wesselburg (Essen, Germany), Krzysztof Rapacz (Manchester, England), Travis Tucker (Benton, Ky.), Gentry Bryant (Crestwood, Ky.), Thad Dodge (Louisville, Ky.), Ben Fleming (Louisville, Ky.), Ivan Kerkoc-Portillo (Barcelona, Spain), and Sebastian Barrientos (Cali, Columbia).
Campbellsville (Ky.) led all institutions with the most honorees this season with 17 student-athletes. St. Catharine and Cumberlands (Ky.) had the second most student-athletes earn the award with 10 from each program.
