Bowling Green, Ky. – St. Catharine’s Bethany Massey and Kindsay Miller-Riney were named to the Second Team All-Mid-South Conference, conference officials announced on Wednesday night at the MSC Awards Banquet held at the National Corvette Museum.
Massey, a freshman from Oldham County, Ky., has had a season to remember in her first year in a Patriot uniform. During her inaugural campaign, Massey has started in all 18 games for the Patriots.
She is tied for second on the team with 11 goals on the season. Massey has also added five assists to finish out her freshman season with 27 points. She has also come up clutch for the Patriots when they need it most with a pair of game-winning goals.
Miller-Riney, on the other hand, earns her second career Second Team All-MSC. She also won the award following her freshman year in 2014. Miller-Riney has appeared in all 18 games for the Patriots finishing with 16 starts on the year.
The Bardstown, Ky. native has showed improvement from her freshman year to her sophomore year. As a freshman, she finished with six goals and one assists for a total of 13 points. Her numbers have more than doubled in her sophomore campaign where she has posted a team-high 12 goals and six assists to finish with 30 points on the season.
Miller-Riney was recently named Mid-South Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on November 2nd for the first time in her career.
Massey, Miller-Riney and the rest of their teammates will take the field on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET against Georgetown (Ky.) in the quarterfinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament.
