St. Catharine, Ky. – The St. Catharine College women’s basketball team will look to put an end to a four game skid tomorrow when they host Milligan (Tenn.) at 4 p.m. ET.
The game was originally scheduled to start at 6 p.m., but both coaches agreed to start at 4 p.m. The Patriots are currently 2-7 overall on the season. Milligan enters with a perfect 9-0 record on the season.
In their earlier meeting this season on November 2nd, the Buffaloes stormed back in the fourth quarter to defeat the Patriots 77-67. St. Catharine held a 55-46 advantage heading into the final 10 minutes, but the Buffaloes outscored the Patriots 31-12 in the final period en route to a 77-67 win.
Miranda Wilson (Corbin, Ky.) led the Patriots in scoring in their earlier meeting with 17 points. Cora Moore (Louisville, Ky.) and Patrice Tonge (Lebanon, Ky.) each finished with 11 points while Kayla Wilson (Corbin, Ky.) added 10.
Moore – who leads the Patriots in scoring with 13.44 points per game – ranks second in the nation in 3-pointers made with 27. Patrice Tonge is leading the Patriots in rebounding grabbing 4.56 boards per game.
The Patriots will look to stop Hayley Wyrick, who is averaging 16.75 points per game. St. Catharine will also need to keep the Buffaloes off the boards as they are averaging 50.3 rebounds per game.
