The St. Catharine College Patriot Baseball team finds itself in the first edition of the NAIA coaches poll. The Patriots (19-8) are receiving votes for the top 25 and are one of three Mid-South Conference clubs mentioned.
"We're off to a pretty good start with the schedule we've played," stated 15 year Head Coach Luther Bramblett. "We took a couple of blows this weekend against a quality Georgetown club and are fortunate enough to be still mentioned as one of the better teams in the NAIA. But, with that said, there are several teams in our conference that could and maybe should be ahead of us - there's a lot of baseball left to play."
The Patriots join #8 Lindsey Wilson College and Georgetown College who are receiving votes just ahead of St. Catharine. The Bat Pats will play Campbellsville University Friday and Saturday in MSC action. The Tigers, pre-season ranked #19, just fell out of the polls this week.
