The Lady Patriots soccer team took on Cincinnati State Community and Technical College on Saturday. Cincinnati State controlled from the start and took a 3-0 halftime lead on goals from Brooke McFarland, Mary Conner, and Joey Ditullio.
After the half, SCC tried to get back into it, but were unable to mount any serious offense. The SCC defense held strong for 30 minutes before giving up a penalty kick. Cincinnati State’s Martha Hunt put away the penalty to make it 4-0. Shortly thereafter, Mary Conner and Joey Ditullio both scored 2nd goals for Cincinnati State to widen the lead to 6-0. Finally, in the last 5 minutes, Cincinnati State capped off the scoring with a shot that was deflected into the goal by an SCC defender. The final score was Cincinnati State 7 – St. Catharine 0.
