Tuesday, September 16 - Freshman Forward Ashley Thompkins earned Mid South Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors today. Thompkins scored six of SCC's 8 goals in 2 wins of Midway College and Bera College last week. Thompkins is the first SCC athlete in any sport to be named Player of the Week in SCC's inaugural season in the Mid South Conference and the NAIA. St. Catharine College's Ashley Thompkins and Lindsey Wilson College's Carrie Revlett are the Mid-South Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week.
Thompkins, a Hopkinsville, Kentucky native, scored six of her team's eight goals to earn MSC Offensive Player of the Week. The freshman forward scored four times in the Patriots 5-1 win over Midway College. She followed up her four-goal performance with a pair of goals in a 3-2 win over Berea College. St. Catharine is 3-3 on the season.
Junior goalkeeper Carrie Revlett allowed just one goal in each of the Blue Raiders two wins last week to earn Defensive Player of the Week. The Shelbyville, Kentucky native, recorded a pair of saves while allowing a goal against in a 5-1 win over
This marks the second weekly award for Revlett this season, while Thompkins picks up her first of the season.
