Thursday, March 4, 2010 - Oak Hills High School senior Sadie Wagner signed an NAIA letter of intent to play soccer for the St. Catharine College Patriots in a ceremony at the Oak Hills gym today. Flanked by her Father, Jim Wagner and boyfriend Lindse 'Bubba' Hughes, Sadie officially joined the SCC family. Wagner was a member of the National Honor Society, the Key Club, the Student Council, and took part in the Oak Hills Tutoring program. She plans to study Early Childhood Education at St. Catharine.
Patriot Coach Paul Patton, on hand for the signing, noted, "While Sadie has not had as extensive club soccer experience as some of our other recruits, she is a solid player and a good athlete with a high upside. I think she will fit in well at St. Catharine, and playing every day at this level, she will continually improve. She has a positive attitude, is willing to work hard, and will be an asset to our team going forward."
