For the last two years, Paul Brooks has served as an Assistant Coach for the St. Catharine College Soccer program. First as the Men's and Women's Goalkeeper Coach, then as Men's and Women's Assistant Coach, and most recently as the Assistant Women's Soccer / Goalkeeper Coach. Now Coach Brooks is leaving the SCC family and moving on to a new challenge.
Starting immediately, Coach Brooks will be taking over the helm of the Mercer County High School Girl's Soccer team. In addition to those duties, he will be teaching English Literature and Composition at Mercer County High School in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. This is a culmination of a lot of hard work for Paul as he completed his Bachelor's Degree at St. Catharine College in December of 2009 and has been working towards a Masters degree at Campbellsville University and the University of Louisville since that time.
"While we are losing an great coach and an outstanding member of our staff, I am very excited for Paul that he has this opportunity," stated Patriot Head Coach Paul Patton. "He'll get the opportunity to Coach and to teach his preferred subject; exactly what he went back to school to do. Plus he gets to do it in his home town. I am sure he do a great job at both!"
