LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- St. Catharine College's Lauren Bowling, Mandy Gray and Taylor Malott are the Mid-South Conference Volleyball Players of the Week for the week ending Sept. 5, the conference announced on Monday.
The weekly honors are the first for all three student-athletes this season.
Bowling, a freshman outside hitter, averaged 2.84 kills and 4.89 digs to earn MSC Player of the Week. The Florence, Ky., native also earned MSC Hitter of the Week. In six matches during the week, Bowling recorded three double-doubles while helping the Patriots to a 2-4 record. Bowling also added six solo blocks and 14 aces en route to earning the top player of the week.
Gray, a sophomore libero from Princeton, Ky., averaged 9.79 digs to earn MSC Libero of the Week. She recorded double digit digs in each of her six matches, including 49 digs in a loss to Ohio State-Marion.
Malott, a freshman setter from Florence, averaged 5.73 assists per game to earn the MSC Setter of the Week. Malott added 16 kills and six service aces to her week en route to the weekly honors.
