St. Catharine, KY-The St. Catharine Men’s Basketball team was ranked #10 in all of NAIA in the most recent Top 25 poll. They dropped from the eighth spot after a close loss at #5 Mountain State on Thursday and a 14-point victory over conference rival Campbellsville on Saturday.
At Mountain State, the Patriots were led by Kashiff Carr with 18 points. Brandon Johnson, Antoine Watson, Ervin Williams and Troy Lambert joined Carr in double figures while Williams led the team with 8 boards. In the Patriots’ home win over Campbellsville, they were led in scoring by Xavier Keeling, Carr and Terrance Withers, with 16, 15 and 11, respectively. Lambert dominated the paint, contributing 8 points and 9 rebounds in just 16 minutes of action.
The squad will return to play this Thursday, January 20th, as part of women’s/men’s doubleheader in Williamsburg, KY at the University of the Cumberlands. The women will play at 6 and the men will play at 8. On Saturday, the men’s team will take on #22 Lindsey Wilson in Colombia, KY at 5 EST following a women’s game at 3.
