Holy Cross High school senior Charles Bowen has been playing golf since he was five years old. He played all four years that he played at Holy Cross. And Friday at St. Catharine College, he signed to play his next four years with Joan Rizer’s Patriots.
“Todd Bruington (a junior on the St. Catharine team) was telling me about St. Catharine and it sounded like a good place for me,” said Bowen at Friday’s signing.
“We are glad to have a golfer like Charles, from a good school like Holy Cross, in our program,” said Rizer who is in her 12th season as head coach at St. Catharine.
Bowen, who played on the Holy Cross team that made it to the All-A state tournament in 2007 played for Brad Boyd during his high school career. He said he will likely pursue a sports management major at St. Catharine.
