LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- St. Catharine College's Justine Paddock is the Mid-South Conference Softball Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
The conference's weekly award is the first for Paddock.
Paddock recorded a .636 batting average last week with three home runs and 18 runs batted in to earn MSC Player of the Week. The Louisville, Ky., senior first baseman had five multi-hit games last week, including two three-hit games and a four-hit game.
Paddock homered in three straight games and finished the week with 16 RBIs in her last three games to help St. Catharine with half of its six games. In the Patriots' 18-2 win over visiting Oakland City (Ind.) University, Paddock was 4-for-4 with four runs and seven RBIs.
This season, Paddock leads the MSC with a .538 batting average and a .769 slugging percentage. She is tied for second in the conference with 35 hits and third in the MSC with 26 RBIs.
St. Catharine is 9-12 overall, including 4-6 in the MSC West Division.
