The SC Patriots (29-24-1) will have to wait an extra day for post season action, as the Mid-South Conference Tournament has been moved to Friday due to wet field conditions at Campbellsville University. Rain last night has changed the game times for the first day of the tournament, with the Patriots playing at 9:00 Friday against #1 seed Campbellsville University (29-17).
The matchup will see the top two offensive teams in the MSC. The Patriots are leading with a .307 average and the Tigers are hitting .301 as a team. SC is averaging 5.46 runs a game and CU is plating 5.30 runs per contest. Campbellsville has the advantage on the hill with their league leading 3.13 ERA. The Patriots have a 4.30 ERA which is sixth in the league.
"It should be a great match up," noted Patriot skipper Luther Bramblett. "It'll be a tough match up with the way they pitch it, they are extremely talented on the mound and they continue to swing the bats well since we played them earlier in the season. We're going to have to pitch it well and make routine plays, as well as get the big hits with guys on to beat them."
