The Patriot Baseball Club (14-3) scored runs in the sixth inning of both games, taking the lead each time, to sweep visiting Mid-Continent University (7-12) by the scores 7-6 and 4-3. The Patriots have now won 7 games in a row and are 13-1 at Edelen-Haydon Field.
In game one, the Patriot bullpen tossed 6 innings of shuout ball. Patrick McDonald (2-0) picked up a win in relief, tossing 1 inning. Dustin Lewis picked up his first save of the year. Evan Doub started and allowed 6 runs in the first, 2 earned, but had 3 K's. Travis Adams tossed 4 innings of scoreless relief, allowing 2 hits and 1 K. At the dish, six Bat Pats had a hit. Kaleb Henry led the way with a 1-3 day with a double and 2 RBI. Adam Blair went 1-3 with an RBI and scored a run and Daniel Bentley had a hit and RBI.
In game two, Brian Jones moved to (2-1) on the year, tossing 3.1 innings of scoreless relief. He allowed 1 hit and had 2 K's. Nick Holmes started and tossed the first inning, allowing 1 hit and 2 unearned runs. Andy Dietz threw 2.2 innings, surrendering 4 hits, 2 BB's and 1 run. He tallied 4 punchouts. Adam Blair had a two out 2-run single with his only hit in the game, which were the game winning RBI's. Justin Witt had a 2-3 game and Ryan Mangione was 2-3 with 2 runs scored.
