The St. Catharine College Women’s Soccer team evened its record at 1-1 Saturday with a 2-0 victory over the visiting Ohio Christian University Trailblazers in a game played at Nelson County High School.
The Patriots scored once in each half to claim the victory. In what would end up being the game winner, Porshia Clark scored her first ever collegiate goal in the first half after the Trailblazer Goalkeeper saved a St. Catharine shot and parried it back into the field. Emily Caras added a second half goal off a corner kick. The Patriots had eleven shots on goal for the game while their defense completely thwarted the Ohio Christian offense. The Trailblazers, 0-1, were able to get off only three shots for the game.
The Lady Patriot will be back in action on Wednesday when the Patriots host Spalding University. That game will start at 6:00 pm EDT at Marion County High School in Lebanon. A men’s game will follow at 8:00 pm.
