With the soccer regular season winding down, both St. Catharine College teams have a lot at stake in their final two conference games. Both Tim Wolz’s men and Paul Patton’s women can improve their positioning greatly for the upcoming conference tournament.
That improvement can start Saturday as the Patriots host Shawnee State in a doubleheader starting at 2:00 at Nelson County High School. The Patriot men, 0-4 in the Mid-South Conference, can still climb as high as sixth in the standings with wins over Shawnee and at Pikeville on October 29th.
The St. Catharine women are currently in sixth place with a 1-4 conference mark but can jump over Shawnee (2-3) into fifth place with a win on Saturday.
The final home games of the season will take place November 1st against Spalding University. Both the Patriot men and women will honor the seniors before those games.
