Kashiff Carr received the first Mid-South Conference Player of the Week award for 2011-2012 Monday as announced by the conference office.
The Philadelphia, Pa., senior forward scored 37 points and had seven rebounds in the Patriots' 107-103 home win over Life (Ga.) University last Monday.
Carr closed out the week with a 32-point, seven-rebound performance in an 87-74 win over visiting Cumberland (Tenn.) University to avenge the Patriots only loss of the season.
For the week, Carr connected on 52.9 percent (18-of-34) of his shots from the field, including three for seven (42.9 percent) from deep. He made 30 of his 37 free throw attempts for 81.1 percent.
Carr leads St. Catharine in scoring averaging 29 points per game. He is second on the team averaging 6.7 rebounds per game.
