
Burdette garners Scholar-Athlete Honors
May 20, 2016St. Catharine, Ky. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) recently announced that 108 women’s tennis student-athletes were named 2016 Daktronics-NAIA Women’s Tennis Scholar Athletes.
In order to be nominated by an institutions head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
Representing St. Catharine on the list of scholar-athletes was Anna Stewart Burdette. The senior from Lebanon, Ky. earns her first scholar-athlete honor of her career. Burdette also earned Academic All Mid-South Conference earlier this season.
